Currently we watching the the Soundsational Parade floats are on their way to their starting position...  I can't take pictures of it so I will draw you a picture of what is happening. Walkin' Around

Grizzly Rapids is supposed to reopen today.  As of now it isn't. They are running water through it though! I can honestly say, that is one ride I have never been on.  The thing I have noticed since it has been in referb is how quiet it is over there.

Lil Update

What up Dorks? Just a little update.

Tomorrow we are going to volunteer at Minnie's Moonlit Madness. As far as I can tell it's a scavenger hunt/trivia contest for cast members. It should be pretty cool. It's after closing(score!), so I will officially have been in both parks after closing!. Apparently we get to enter through a CM entrance AND get to walk backstage! They said no pictures, but they didn't say anything about me working with a courtroom sketch artist to draw what I am seeing! Boom! I am thinking of having them do it in pastel colors with oil pastels.

My secret hope is they do a special soft opening of the Fantasy Faire for the CM's to see it before us regular Joe's and Josie's. I am a 150 earth year old doughy blue alien with four eyes, but I am a sucker for the Princesses, especially Rapunzel(Frying pans. Who knew?). Oh! and Tiana. Annd Ariel annnnnnnnnd Snow White, the one from Once Upon a Time, she literally kicks ass!

So it should be fun. I will inundate you with pictures of I get a chance to take any. We are going to get there early and spend the night in the Grand so I will take pics anyway.

So I wrote a blog a while ago... everyday for three months. Have just over 300 views total! So far with this blog I have 120! Whoo! I hope people are actually reading it and not just moving on past it. Please for the love of crap! LEAVE A COMMENT!

In Full Effect!

DISCLAIMER.  Few cocktails were had before writing this(sorry Mom), plus I hate proof reading. So reader beware...

So... I am back! In park and ready to rock(does that work? Not the best rhyme in the world. Okay. It doesn't work)! Got my pink AP extended hours wristband so I get 2 extra hours in DCA with other passholes.

Currently at Cove Bar having the artichoke dip...  It is ba-nan-as. It is served with fresh(ish) tortilla chips. It's gooey, it's warm and it has artichokes, so I will officially call it healthy! Fun fact.. The woman with the loudest most annoying voice IN THE WORLD is here with us. Judging by her crown she is the Queen of Loudia or some another horrible place like Canada or Fresno. It's almost like being here with a celebrity... But a REALLY annoying celeb like Taylor Swift or some Rachel Dratch character from SNL that makes you cringe because it is so horrible.

Anyway, being here today reminds me that there ARE some unwritten rules for Disneyland.Now keep in mind that these are my unwritten rules and therefore infallible and right and just and awesome, just like me.

#1 Don't cheat lines. If there are 5 of you in the single rider line but you all want to ride together, you are a line cheat. I don't know what makes you think that you are better than the rest of us waiting 45 minutes for Indiana Jones. Waiting is part of the experience. Don't be a dick... Ross. 

#2 Like the freeway. If you are slow, stay to the right. For some reason people love to dawdle. Just because you are pushing a stroller doesn't mean you literally have to stroll. Slow people should also avoid walking 4 abreast and please, for the love of Mickey, don't just stop suddenly, people are behind you.

#3. I know it's Disneyland, but if you get waited on, tip your server. 

I know something else will piss me off so there will be more rules coming so to stick around... or else! (I am totally shaking my fist)  

Great drink at Cove Bar. Windsor from Albuquerque makes her own concoction call the Anything But Old Fashioned...  I would tell you what's in it but then Windsor would have to kill you.  I will say that it does have Jim Beam Red Stag Wild Cherry in it.  If you find yourself in DCA and near the Cove Bar stop by and see her. 

The rest of the day brings Cathay Circle for dinner to celebrate the birthday, of my beautiful wife(Future Supreme Leader of the Free and Paid World as well as the real World's Greatest Detective) and then...  Maybe Tow Mater? Tower of Terror?  Who knows? We are young...  At heart. 

New closing line idea...  Keep your hands in the vehicle at all times...  Eh??  I need feedback.

DAPPER DAY!

Dapper Day is coming! Wohoo! Who's excited? I know I am... not going to the park that day. That is the day that every drama club kid dresses up like an extra from Newsies and spends the day judging all of us normal folk. It is sure to be a good time. Little tidbit of information they don't tell you about Dapper Day. There are more fedoras in Disneyland that day than Humphrey Bogart's entire filmography. I won't hate on it too much. I will be a good sport and put up the link to the third greatest unofficial Disney day(the first being any day I am there and second, Gay Day).

It seems like there are plenty of Unofficial Disney days.

June 30th 2013 is Star Wars Day! Prepare for the Nerdening! Good news that parking lot will be empty because most of the people will just get dropped off by their moms. Sad news is I will be there with bells on... I wonder if the Jedi Mind Trick will work on Cast Members?

Last year my wife(yes, I am married, I may be an evil genius, but I am also adorable and charming... at least to her I am) went on Harry Potter Day. It wasn't as bad as I thought. There were a lot of people(mostly drama club kids) in costumes, some were super creative, some... not so much... too many slutty Gryffindor students. Didn't see a date for this year, but I hear the Ministry will be sending out owls soon.

There is... or was... or still will be... Possibly June 14th, a Raver Day. Dunno what that is, but it probably involves glowsticks and drugs. Sadly I can only picture Emily Valentine giving drugs to Brandon Walsh at a rave. I am... old. Here is a video of some high quality entertainment you may see on Raver Day. Won't be in the park that day.

Do you shop at Hot Topic? Do you like top hats and pale skin? If you answered yes to either of those questions, well then, Bats Day on May 5th may be for you! Get your Nightmare Before Christmas gear before then, otherwise you will be SOL! Nothing says HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH like a bunch of downtrodden goths.

I have been there on some unofficial Unofficial Unofficial Disney Days. There was the day 10 years ago where we seemed to be there on Skinheads Day Out. They were in line ahead of us on The World Famous Jungle Cruise, two couples, jack boots, shaved heads, and possibly racist patches on the jackets, then my wife and I decided to go to the Matterhorn and guess who gets in line behind us? Same group! Aggh! I am evil... but not like that. We were also there on MMA Day. There were a lot of muscled out dudes and families, we were behind Joe Riggs, I remember him because he reminded me of Guile from Street Fighter. And every other day we have been there has apparently been Push a Stroller Like a Moron Day. Never fails.
